Rather than manually managing a paper-based, handwritten DOA log, the Digital Delegation feature enables users at your site to delegate, accept, and approve responsibilities directly in SiteVault, and SiteVault creates and updates the DOA log document for you.
SiteVault provides 24 standard responsibilities and a template DOA document based on the industry-standard TransCelerate Site Signature and Delegation of Responsibilities log template. You can also create your own site- or study-specific responsibilities to best serve the needs of your site.

Order of Operations

| Step | Navigation | Description |
| 1 | Administration > Responsibilities | Review and adjust the standard list of 24 responsibilities. This is the master list of responsibilities that you can tailor at the study level. |
| 2 | Administration > Responsibilities | Optionally, add custom responsibilities to the master list. |
| 3 | Administration > Staff > Assigned Responsibilities | Optionally, update Staff records with responsibilities individuals should own on every study (Person Responsibilities). |
| 4 | Study > View Study Details | Enable Digital Delegation on the study. |
| 5 | Study > Team > Responsibilities | Review and update study-specific responsibilities. The master list is automatically added and you can edit as needed. |
| 6 | Study > Team > Manage Delegations | Select Edit Delegations and assign responsibilities to the study team. |
| 7 | Study > Team > Manage Delegations | Select Generate Delegation Log. Review the document and adjust as needed in the Delegations Workspace. |
| 8 | Delegations Log > Workflow Menu | Send the Delegations Log for either staff acceptance followed by PI approval, or for PI approval only if that is all the study requires. |
