Assign Responsibilities (Create Delegations)

The Delegations Workspace provides a view of the study team and responsibilities. Previously assigned Person Responsibilities are automatically populated. As you assign responsibilities, you can also adjust Person Responsibilities if needed.

Assign Responsibilities
  1. Access Study > Team.
  2. Select Manage Delegations to access the Delegations Workspace.
  3. Select Delegations.
  4. Optionally, select Edit Study Team to update the listed staff. You can choose to display all members of the study team or only those with delegations.
  5. Select Edit Delegations.
  6. Select a Start Date for the delegations. Individual delegations can be edited after assignment.
  7. Optionally, select an End Date for the delegations.
  8. Create delegations by selecting the intersections of team members and responsibilities.
  9. Select Save.

When needed, you can edit individual delegations’ start and end dates. Keep this in mind for delegations that were included at the beginning of a study, but then later deemed unnecessary, or when staff is removed from a study team (assignment is inactive) or leaves the site.
