Who can complete this task?
- Administrators
At the end of a study, a Site Administrator can initiate the automated closing of a study with Digital Delegation. This automation includes preparing staff and their delegations for inactivation upon final approval by the PI. Delegation Log closure should occur before study archival.
Start Delegation Log Closure
- Access Studies.
- Select a study.
- Review the current study team assignments/delegations for accuracy.
- Select View Study Details.
- Select Start Delegation Log Closure from the All Actions menu (…).
- Select Continue. SiteVault prepares for study closure by completing the following:
- Study team assignments/delegations for users who never fully approved (do not have a date in the Start Date field) are deleted.
- Study team assignments/delegations are moved from Active to Make Inactive - PI Approval Needed.
- Once you (the initiator) are notified that the previous step is complete, access the PI Approval tab and select Send for Approval. SiteVault notifies the PI of the approval task.
- Once approved, SiteVault:
- Completes the process of removing study access for non-administrative staff
- Populates the Investigator’s End Date field on the Delegation Log
- Notifies the initiator that the approval task has been completed and the final Delegation Log is available.
