Who can complete this task?
- Administrators
Before enabling the Digital Delegation on a study:
- Review the master list of responsibilities. Update if needed.
- Assign person responsibilities to site staff who own certain responsibilities every study.
- Ensure that all assigned study staff have active user accounts.
Enable Digital Delegation on a Study
- Navigate to Studies.
- Select the study.
- Select View Details
- Set the Digital Delegation Log field to Enabled.
Once enabled, the following actions occur on the study:
- The Manage Delegations button is displayed. Select to access the Delegations Editor.
- The study’s Responsibilities tab is displayed. The master list of responsibilities are automatically added for you to review and edit. You can also create new responsibilities from the Study > Responsibilities tab.
- If new responsibilities are added to the master list after Digital Delegation has been enabled on the study, they are not automatically added to the study-level responsibility list, but you can manually add them to the Study Responsibilities.
Impact of Disabling Digital Delegation
If Digital Delegation is disabled, the following actions occur on the study:
- The Digital Delegation tools are removed.
- Any existing staff delegations are deleted.
- Any outstanding delegation workflows are cancelled.
- Study staff assignments are set to the Proposed state (except PI).
