Change to Site Staff

Who can complete this task?
  • Administrators

Administrators can switch a user’s type between Staff and Monitor/External User. The user will retain access to each of their assigned sites and studies. A notification is sent when the change is processed, and the user’s access and permissions can be updated if needed.

Change Monitor/External User to Staff

  1. Access Administration > Monitor/External User.
  2. Select the record to update.
  3. Select View Monitor Details.
  4. Select the Actions menu (…).
  5. Select Change to Site Staff.
    • Some menus may include the Change Type action; this is not the preferred action. Select Change to Staff.
  6. Review the impact statement. The user retains their site and study assignments and is assigned the Other Non-Investigator role. Once the change is processed, you can edit the user’s access and permissions as needed.
  7. Select Continue.
