Who can complete this task?
- Administrators
Administrators can switch a user’s type between Staff and Monitor/External User. The user will retain access to each of their assigned sites and studies. A notification is sent when the change is processed, and the user’s access and permissions can be updated if needed.
Change Monitor/External User to Staff
- Access Administration > Monitor/External User.
- Select the record.
- Select Change to Site Staff from the Actions menu (…).
- Some menus may include the Change Type action; this is not the preferred action. Select Change to Monitor/External User.
- Select Continue.
- The user retains their site and study assignments and is assigned the Other Non-Investigator role. Once the change is processed, you can edit the user’s access and permissions as needed.
