Manage study participants, digitize consent forms, and eConsent participants

Create a Study Participant

Who can complete this task?
  • Site Administrators & Site Staff
  1. Navigate to Studies.
  2. Select a study.
  3. Select the Participants tab.
  4. Select + Create Participants.
  5. Enter the participant’s study-specific ID in the Study Participant ID field.
  6. Optionally, associate a Patient with this Participant by selecting an existing patient from the Patient field dropdown or + Create Patient to create a new Patient.
    • NOTE: A Patient record is required for eConsent study participants.
  7. Select Save.

Once created, you can select the current status for the participant and complete any relevant date fields on the Screening & Enrollment Details tab.

Participants sometimes require the support of others to participate in or complete a study. You may need to share documents with these individuals or require them to sign forms on behalf of the participant. To complete these tasks, you can create signatory records to associate with the participant. For more information, see Create Additional Signatories.
