Document Lifecycles
Newly created documents of the following types now use the Draft to Current lifecycle:
- Biosketch
- Conflict of Interest
- Data Privacy
- Reliance Agreement
This change ensures that SiteVault best practices are in place for newly created documents of these types. If you have existing documents of these types that use a different lifecycle, Veeva Support will reach out to help you move them to the correct lifecycle.
Connected Studies
With this release, the following documents are added to the available documents that can be sent to a sponsor or CRO on a connected study:
- Monitoring Visit Log documents in a Current state
- Participant Questionnaire documents in an Approved for Use state
- Participant Screening Log documents in a Current state

Participants
For Participant records in an Active status that were created before February 12, 2021, you can now update the status to Candidate. This enables you to use the new lifecycle to track the end-to-end status of study participants. In addition, a Lifecycle Stages Chevron panel is now displayed at the top of Participant records so that you can quickly identify the status of a participant.
Veeva eConsent
Release Considerations Veeva eConsent is currently available to early adopters in SiteVault. If you’re interested in becoming an early adopter, contact Veeva support to learn more.
Declined eConsent Forms
Participants can now decline eConsent forms in MyVeeva for Patients. When they do so, the document’s Veeva eConsent status is updated to Patient Declined in SiteVault and a notification is sent to the approver.
