Basics for managing Study Connect for Site Staff and Site Administrators

Site Staff Records

Each record represents a site staff member requiring representation on a study, and in most cases, access to the study in Study Connect.

Site Staff Tab and Records

Only Site Administrators or Research Organization Administrators can view and use the Site Staff tab.

User Creation

  • Every user created in the Site Staff tab is created as a Site Staff user.
  • Site Staff user access can be promoted to Site Administrator user access.
  • Users with vault accounts in other domains should create a SiteVault-specific account.
  • Non-user persons (NUP) Site Staff records are created by not entering a vault user name.

Site Staff Record User Types

Site Staff records can be one of two different user types:

  • User Person Record: Site staff who will log in to SiteVault to complete tasks.
  • Non-User Person Record: Site Staff who require representation in a study, but will not log in to SiteVault to complete tasks. The access type for these users is always No Access.
