Learn how to manage participant and site staff surveys

Completing Site Surveys

Note Veeva ePRO is only available to sites whose sponsors are using Veeva ePRO in Clinical Operations.

Overview

  • Site users can manage and submit electronic clinician-reported outcome (eClinRO) surveys from the Participant Events page in Study Connect.
  • Surveys with a due date will display the due date under the survey name, in the Site Surveys widget.
  • Surveys may be available in multiple languages depending on the languages and translations the sponsor included in the configuration.
  • Site surveys do not appear in the collection document.
  • Site surveys are included in survey response, adherence, and audit exports.
  • Permissions:
    • All site staff assigned to the study can complete surveys.
    • Multiple site users can contribute answers to the same survey, but the user who submits the survey is listed as the Completed By user in the audit trail.
  • Availability:
    • Site and participant surveys’ availability are dependent upon the event’s Actual Datetime field. See Managing Participant Event Dates and Times for more information.
    • Your time zone is a factor in the availability of surveys (based on the sponsor-configured schedule).
    • Survey completion may be configured for a specific sequence.
    • Site surveys lock during completion, but remain visible as read-only to other users. Surveys unlock when the initial respondent navigates out of the survey.
    • To immediately release surveys after completion, close using the X Close link in the top right corner (rather than closing the browser tab).

View Site Survey

To view a site survey, complete the following steps:

  1. In Study Connect, select Surveys on the left menu.
  2. Select the Participants tab.
  3. Select a Participant Event.
  4. Select a survey from the Site Surveys widget.
  5. Review the survey.
  6. Close the survey.

Complete Site Survey

To complete a site survey, complete the following steps:

  1. In Study Connect, select Surveys on the left menu.
  2. Select the Participants tab.
  3. Select a Participant Event.
  4. Select a survey from the Site Surveys widget.
  5. Complete the survey.
  6. Submit the survey.
