Managing Participant Event Dates and Times

Manage event dates and times for participants in SiteVault.


Note Veeva ePRO is only available to sites conducting a study whose sponsor is utilizing Veeva ePRO in a Clinical Vault.

You can enter and update the actual dates and times for a participant’s study events and milestones such as receiving a dose, being seen for a study visit, or moving into a new phase of the study in the participant’s record. If your study’s sponsor designs ePRO schedules to depend upon the timing of a participant’s specific study events, you must enter the actual dates and times of those events in order for a participant to begin the surveys for those events.

Entering Participant Event Dates and Times

After enabling ePRO for a participant, you must enter their actual event dates and times to begin their ePRO schedules.

To enter an actual event date and time for a participant, complete the following steps:

  1. On the study record page, select the participant from the participants list.
  2. Navigate to the participant events section and locate the event you’re entering.
  3. Double-click into the Actual Datetime field in the table and select a date and time.
  4. Click anywhere away from the field to save.

The actual event date and time you enter for the participant’s event will begin their ePRO schedules if the event is used in the ePRO schedules for your study.

Updating Participant Event Dates and Times

You can update actual event dates and times for participants to make changes to their event dates and times or to correct mistakes made during initial date and time entry.

To update an actual event date and time for a participant, you can follow the same steps you initially took to enter the date and time for the event.

The actual event date and time you update for the participant’s event will modify their existing ePRO schedules if the event is used in the ePRO schedules for your study.

Deleting Participant Event Dates and Times

You can delete actual event dates and times for participants if you need to remove an event that was entered in error.

To delete an actual event date and time for a participant, you can follow the same steps you initially took to enter the actual date and time, but remove the values from both the date and time fields and click anywhere away from the field to save.
