# Remove Site and Study Access

**Who can complete this task?**
- Administrators

Note Removing access to a site also inactivates any active Study Assignments for that site. For multi-site organizations, if all sites are removed, the user is fully inactivated.

1. Access the **Administration \> Monitors & External Users** tab.
2. Select the record to update.
3. Select **Site Access & Permissions**.
4. Select the **checkbox** for the site(s) to update.
5. From the black bulk action menu, select one of the following options: 
  - **Edit:** Adjust the permissions for each selected site, then select **Save**.
  - **Remove Access:** Review the impact statement, then select **Continue**.
