# Add a Monitor or External User to an Additional Site

**Who can complete this task?**
- Administrators

When receiving access to a site, a Monitor or External User must also be assigned to at least one study.

1. Access **Administration \> Monitors & External Users**
2. Select the record to update.
3. Select **Site Access & Permissions**.
4. Select **+ Add Site**.
5. Select a site. Only those sites to which you have access and the Monitor or External User does not yet have access are displayed in the dropdown.
6. Select **+ Add Study**.
7. Select the appropriate study.
8. Select **Save**.
9. Optionally, complete the **Scheduled Access Start** and **Scheduled Access End** fields.
10. Indicate if the user should have access to [Restricted documents](/gr/sitevault/eisf-ebinder/restricted/).
11. Select **Save**.
