# Edit or Delete a Study

**Who can complete this task?**
- Administrators

## Edit Study Information

1. Navigate to **Studies**.
2. Select the study.
3. Select **View Study Details**.
4. Select the **Edit** icon.
5. Complete the updates.
6. Select **Save** to complete the process.

## Change Study Lifecycle State

1. Navigate to **Studies**.
2. Select the study.
3. Use the **Status** button to select the appropriate lifecycle state.

## Delete Study

Note You can only delete studies that are in the **Pre-award** or **Cancelled** states. Moreover, the study cannot have any documents or associated records such as Study Assignments or Study Products.

1. Navigate to **Studies**.
2. Select the study.
3. Select **View Study Details**.
4. Select **Delete** from the **All Actions Menu (…)**.
5. Select **Continue**.
