# Generate Activation Code for MyVeeva for Patients

You can generate an Activation Code to allow a participant to log into the MyVeeva for Patients application. SiteVault will also provide a QR code to assist the user with downloading the MyVeeva for Patients app, if they have yet to do so.

1. Navigate to **Studies**.
2. Select the study.
3. Select the **Participants** tab.
4. Select **Generate Activation Code** or **Generate New Code** from the Actions menu **(…)**.
5. Share the Activation Code (and QR code, if needed) with the participant.
6. Select **Done**.

The [Start Consent](/gr/sitevault/econsent/consenting-participants/) process includes the option to generate Activation Codes for all possible signatories in a single step.
