Learn how to create and manage Partner Organizations.
Partner Organizations
- Partner Organizations may also be referred to as Study Organizations.
- Partner Organizations are Organizations that are associated with a study such as IRB/IECs, Labs, CROs, Sponsors, and Ancillary Committees.
- Partner Organizations can be viewed in the following areas of SiteVault eReg:
- Study > Partners Organizations (Labs, IRBs, etc.)
- Administration > Organizations
- Adding an Organization to a study enables the Organization’s profile documents to be automatically filed to the study.
- Partner Organization States
- There are three possible states for a Partner Organization: Proposed, Active, and Inactive.
- Partner Organizations are created in the Proposed state.
- Partner Organizations can toggle between Active and Inactive.
- When a Partner Organization is updated to the Active state, the Partner Organization’s most recent steady-state version and any subsequent versions of profile documents (for example, Lab Normal Ranges and IRB/IEC Compositions) are added to the study.

Partner Organizations Tasks
Create Partner Organizations
Complete the following steps to create a Study Product:
- Navigate to the Studies tab.
- Locate and select the study from the Study Identifier column.
- Expand the Partners Organizations (Labs, IRBs, etc.) section.
- Select Create.
- Complete the Role field.
- Complete the Organization field.
- If the organization is not available in the list, select + Create Organization.
- Select the Organization type.
- Select Continue.
- Complete the Name field.
- Complete the Organization Sharing field:
- Selecting All (recommended) allows this Organization to be re-used across all sites and studies in your Research Organization (if applicable). Selecting Current limites use of this Organization to your currently selected site.
- Select Save to complete the process of creating the Organization.
- Select Save to complete the process of creating the Partner Organization.
- If appropriate, from the Workflow Actions menu, change the Partner Organization to Active.
Edit Partner Organization
Complete the following steps to change a Partner Organization:
- Navigate to the Studies tab.
- Locate and select the study from the Study Identifier column.
- Expand the Partners Organizations (Labs, IRBs, etc.) section.
- Locate and select the Partner Organization record to update.
- Select Edit from the All Actions menu.
- Update the fields as needed.
- Select Save to complete the process.
Change Partner Organization State
Complete the following steps to progress the study lifecycle:
- Navigate to the Studies tab.
- Expand the Partners Organizations (Labs, IRBs, etc.) section.
- Locate and select the Partner Organization record.
- From the Workflow Actions menu, select the appropriate lifecycle state.
Delete Partner Organization
A Partner Organization can only be deleted while in the Proposed state.
Complete the following steps to delete a Partner Organization:
- Navigate to the Studies tab.
- Locate and select the study from the Study Identifier column.
- Expand the Partners Organizations (Labs, IRBs, etc.) section.
- Locate and select the Partner Organization to delete.
- Select Delete from the All Actions menu.
- Select Continue to confirm your intent.
