Study eBinder

The eBinder displays all of the approved and effective documents for your study. The documents are displayed in a hierarchical folder structure. This enables you to view all approved documents for a single study or all documents related to a specific section of a study, for example, all IRB submissions and approvals. Click here for a quick reference card that you can use to find what eBinder section a document type is located in.
Only steady state or major versions (for example, Approved for Use, Current, and so on) of your documents are displayed in the eBinder. Use the Documents > Library tab to view all working and steady-state versions of documents to which you have access.

Using the Study eBinder
To get started, navigate to the Documents > eBinder tab and select the study from the Study Selector (if applicable). You can select the column headings to sort the documents by that column, just as you would in the library. Select Edit Columns from the ellipses menu (…) to add or remove columns. A total of nine columns can be displayed at a time.
Viewing Previous Versions

Use the carets (>) next to each document link to expand or collapse all previous steady-state versions of the document. This view only displays previously approved versions for which you have appropriate permissions to view.
After navigating to a document, you can use the breadcrumb trail to return to the eBinder with all of your search results preserved.
Column Filters

Use the column filters to filter your document list based on the criteria that you select. Select the filter icon next to the column name, enter or select conditions as needed, then select Apply.
Filters persist even when you navigate away from the page. The eBinder column filters do not support filtering on Text, Number, DateTime, Currency, or Formula fields.
Document Library
The document library displays all documents that you have access to in SiteVault. With a site selected in the vault selector, SiteVault displays all documents from all studies to which you have access across the site, including any research organization-level documents. With a research organization selected in the selector, SiteVault displays all documents across all sites to which you have access.
To get started, navigate to the Documents > Library tab. Once in the library, you can use the Study Selector and other filters to quickly find the documents you need.
